Frequently asked questions
The questions West Midlands businesses actually ask us
AI and bespoke hardware raise the most genuine 'what does that actually mean' questions — so that's where we start. Can't find your answer? Get in touch.
AI for small business
It means finding out, in plain terms, where AI could genuinely save you time or money — and where it wouldn't. We start with a readiness assessment that includes a data cleanup and audit, because most AI quick wins are blocked by messy spreadsheets and inconsistent records before you even get to the AI part. You get a short, honest list of what's worth doing first.
Only if it's set up badly. We build chatbots and customer support automation around the questions your customers actually ask, with a clear handover to a real person when it can't help. Done properly, it answers the boring, repetitive questions at 9pm so you don't have to.
That's exactly the kind of question we want you asking. Part of AI readiness is understanding what data a tool touches, where it's stored, and whether it's appropriate for your business to share it. We'll walk you through this in plain English before you commit to anything.
Think invoice chasing, appointment reminders, data entry between systems that don't talk to each other, or pulling together a weekly report by hand. If it's repetitive and rule-based, there's a good chance it can be automated — including basic data analysis so you can see patterns in your own numbers without a spreadsheet headache.
Not necessarily — but the businesses that get the most value are the ones where staff actually know how to use the tools they've been given. We offer straightforward staff training on AI tools, pitched at your team's actual day-to-day work, not generic slides.
Bespoke hardware, networking & servers
For general office work, an off-the-shelf machine is often fine, and we'll tell you that honestly. Where a bespoke workstation earns its keep is CAD, video, design, data-heavy work, or anything where a slow machine is quietly costing you billable hours. We spec it to what you actually do, not what a shop wants to sell you.
Yes — that's most of what we do. Business networking and server infrastructure scaled to a five-person office looks very different from a 500-person one, and we size it accordingly, so you're not paying for enterprise kit you don't need.
Data recovery
It depends on the failure — a corrupted drive is very different from physical damage. We assess the drive, explain honestly what's recoverable and what isn't before any work starts, and only proceed once you know the likely outcome and cost. We won't promise a recovery we can't deliver.
How it works
You get in touch, we have a plain-English conversation about what's actually going on, and you get honest advice — even if that advice is 'you don't need us for this bit.' Where we can help, we quote clearly before any work starts.
It depends on the job — advice sessions, hardware builds, websites and AI projects are all priced differently. We quote up front once we understand what you need, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
We're based in Herefordshire and cover the wider West Midlands, including Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Dudley, Walsall, Solihull and the surrounding towns. See the Service Areas page for the full list.
For advice, hardware and web enquiries we aim to come back to you within one working day. For anything business-critical — like a server down or a suspected data loss — say so when you contact us and we'll prioritise accordingly.
